General questions

Bikes we provide (hybrid, road, tandem-bikes, children and mountain bikes) are equipped with spare tube, patch kit, tire levers, pump, rear rack (except on carbon road bikes), bottle holders, cycle computer and lock. Pedals that come with the bike are flat (platform) pedals. You are welcome to bring your own pedals (or rent from us LOOK or SPD pedals).  Please note, helmets and water bottles are not included in price. 

Helmets are not obligatory to wear in Croatia. However, we HIGHLY suggest wearing one while riding. Besides safety protection it also provides sun protection and it can get hot during summer months in Croatia. Helmets are not included in the bike rental price and we provide them at additional fee. Our helmets have CE-EN 1078 standard and come in 3 different sizes: child, small/medium (52-58) and medium/large (58-62). 

Please see our bike rental page for details regarding prices. Prices shown are per day and the daily price lowers as the number of rental days increases. We do provide discounts for groups and tour companies. 

Our main base is located in Split where bikes can be picked up and returned to our office. We do offer delivery (and pick up) service for a fee, which is determined by the distance from our office to desired delivery (pick up) location. 

Can I rent a bike in Dubrovnik and return it in Split? Can I rent a bike from your shop in Split and leave it in Dubrovnik? What is the price for this service? 

Yes! We offer bike Delivery or pick-up in Dubrovnik. Since our office is based in Split we do charge one-way pick fee. However, if we do have a similar request for the dates you require the bikes in Dubrovnik we can combine deliveries and split the costs…

It's the price for all the bikes together.  This is total price for the transfer and up to 10 bikes. Due to huge increase in e-bike rentals in the recent years, delivery for those bikes might be priced diferentely as we might have to use bigger delivery vehicles or even a trailer. 

We work Mon-Fri and Saturdays during the season (April to end of October) . On Saturday and Sunday, we are usually not open out of season, but we will pick up the bikes from you if needed. Therefore, we want to confirm your arrival time (On Saturday or Sunday) with you. 

Our fleet consist of 250 (and more) bikes. Hybrid and road bikes come in 9 different sizes (46,48,50,52,54,56,58,60 and 62) so we can cover guest heights from 145 cm to 210 cm. Our road tandems come in size LARGE (captain) and SMALL (stoker position). E-bikes in our fleet are available in sizes from 42 to 60 cm, meaning we can fit riders from 145 to 210 cm. Children bikes in our fleet are with 16”,20” or/and 24” wheels. We also provide tag along, child stroller and child bike seats for the small ones. 


All bikes (except carbon road and children bikes) have rear rack which can accept different kinds of panniers. You are welcome to bring your own panniers or rent from us. We can provide different kind of pedals (LOOK or SHIMANO SPD). For children we can offer tag along, child seats and stroller. GPS units, water bottles and handlebar maps are possible to rent as well. We can even rent you a fully equipped van for bike tour support (with tool box, track pump and spare parts). 

Once you let us know rental dates, your heights and type of the bikes needed we will confirm availability and pricing to you. To confirm reservation of the bikes we do charge deposit. The rest of the payment is due upon rental service start. 

No, but we highly suggest doing it as we do rent most of our bikes out in May, June, September and October so if you contact us in the “last minute” we might not have adequate bike sizes for you. 

We do not provide half day rentals, or we do not have prices for half day rental. Our office is located slightly out of the city centre (10-15 min walk) so if you need the bike to go to the beach and are lodged in the city centre you will find bike rentals closer to your accommodation. If you are staying near our office, just walk in and we will see if we have bikes available for you (usually we will have…)  

You can check our guided and self-guided tours at www.meridienten.com website and eventually book a tour instead of bike rental. Upon bike delivery we might suggest some bike rides but please do not consider this 100% guaranteed as we might have our mechanic delivering the bikes who knows all about bike service but not much about cycling on one of our islands (for example). 

Our bikes always come with pump, 1 spare tube, puncture repair kit and tire levers so in case of the puncture you can use this kit and change the tube. For longer rental periods we can include few spare tubes. 

Our bikes are delivered to you in perfect mechanical condition. Upon bike pick up you will do the test ride and make sure this is true in reality. In case of any mechanical issue during your rental we will help with support:  suggest or call bike repair shop or provide this service ourselves. Repair will be paid by the guest directly on the spot. If the mechanical issue happened due to failure of the bike mechanisms, we will cover repair cost. 

It is possible to transport bikes with ferries in Croatia. If cars are accepted bikes will be accepted as well. Please note in Croatia catamarans are also used for transportation between/to the islands. This are passenger only boats and some do, and some don’t accept the bikes.  You can check www.jadrolinija.hr(ferry and catamaran) or www.krilo.hr (catamaran only) websites. If you are able to buy tickets online – then you are all set! If you are ok with the risk, you can always show up in front of the catamaran and see if they will accept your bike (it depends on the amount of passenger on the boat). 
Unfortunately busses in Croatia do not have official prices for bike transportation. Usually it depends on the driver, if it is not too busy on that exact bus line you should be able to load that bike on the bus.

Please note, rental service includes: bike & accessories rental costs, delivery and pick up costs. No refunds are possible after the rental service begins.

Insurance, damages and thefts of the bikes
Bikes are not insured against theft or damage. It is possible to buy insurance in the amount of EUR 20,00 per bike and it covers 100% of cost of repairs in the case of minor damage to bike or damage or loss of accessories.
In the case of damage due to inappropriate handling, theft or loss of the bicycle, Meridien Ten will issue the invoice according to the price list. This cost will be charged within 7 days from the day damage has been done.

We do have different size panniers, but most of them are between 10-15 litres. We can confirm the pannier size once we know your needs and luggage. 

At the moment we do not have any channels to connect foreign riders to ride together and there are no so called “social” rides happening at exact dates. You might be able to ride with one of our guides for a certain fee.

No. We will be happy to keep your luggage. If you are doing one way rental we can take your luggage and keep it in our office, so you pick it up upon your return.

Our shop is located about 2 -2.5 km outside the city centre. If you are walking it will take you about 10-15 minutes.
